Aric, has spent the last 14 years studying and practicing the teachings of Buddhism in depth with various teachers. He has a B.A. and Masters in Religious Studies focusing on Buddhism, Tibetan and Sanskrit languages, as well as a B.A. in Yoga Studies (an in depth 3 year advanced yoga training program in Hat\a Yoga). During his Master’s degree, he completed a year and a half long mindfulness teacher training, which informs his approach to his wellness coaching practice. Aric’s Buddhist Life Coaching is an integrated approach to examining mechanisms for individual growth, mindfulness and insight training, as well as a springboard for catalyzing one’s harmony and within their community, in order to enact lasting developments in one’s own life.
Concurrently, Aric specializes in hands on healing, wellness and energy balancing through the techniques he learned over two years studying various Energy-Work Modalities such as Polarity Therapy, Reiki, and Accunect. His time spent doing Tibetan Buddhist practice, and studying Tibetan Medicine also influences his approach to Energy-work.
At the present he is a full time student of Tibetan Medicine, and is working on his massage license through that school. He offers donation-based Tibetan Ku Nye massage to the Community as a way for people to receive affordable bodywork, and also for him to accumulate the necessary hours on his way to licensure. He is currently project managing the translation and creation of a series of 27 volumes of Tibetan medical textbooks for the school he is attending, so they can go on to become accredited in a similar way that Chinese medicine is recognized. The medicine, which strongly informs his approach to teaching, coaching, and healing work, blends the best aspects of Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, and various other medicine traditions. Aric in his spare time helps to organize a Tibetan Buddhist sangha in the Boulder area, and leads meditation trainings around the Front Range.
